Which Coroplast is right for you?
Most people are used to the standard 4mm yard signs you see on every street corner. 10mm is a different beast. At nearly half an inch thick, it is designed for projects where “flimsy” isn’t an option. If you are mounting a sign to a wall, placing it in a high-wind construction zone, or need a large-format board that won’t bow in the middle, 10mm is the professional choice.
The “3-Month Rule” for Outdoors
We print with high-quality UV inks, but the Iowa sun (or anywhere else!) is relentless. To keep your branding looking sharp, we recommend a simple rule of thumb:
Temporary Use (Under 3 Months): Standard UV print is perfect.
Semi-Permanent (3+ Months): We strictly recommend adding Lamination. It acts as a protective shield against fading and helps your sign maintain its “just-printed” look for the long haul.
Mounting & Handling
Because of its rigid core, 10mm Coroplast is incredibly versatile. It can be easily grommeted, screwed directly into wooden posts, or used as a heavy-duty insert for A-frame signs. Despite its strength, it remains surprisingly lightweight, making it easy to transport to job sites or events.
