6mm Coroplast is the step-up from standard 4mm for clients who need a little more rigidity without jumping to 10mm. At roughly 1/4″ thick, it holds its shape better in wind and feels more substantial in hand — your customers notice the difference.
When to Spec 6mm vs. 4mm
- Larger sizes (over 18″x24″) — 6mm stays flatter and resists bowing on bigger panels
- Higher-wind locations — more rigid in H-stakes than 4mm, less likely to flutter
- Premium client perception — feels more substantial for real estate, commercial, and campaign signage
- Longer display periods — holds up better over weeks/months of outdoor use
Material Details
Corrugated polypropylene (same material as 4mm, just thicker). Waterproof, lightweight, UV-printed directly to the surface. Won’t rust, rot, or corrode. For signs staying outdoors longer than 3 months, we recommend adding gloss lamination to protect against UV fading.
