The Professional’s Choice for Permanent Exterior Signage
Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) is what separates a “sign” from a sign. Two aluminum skins bonded to a solid polyethylene core create a panel that’s flat, rigid, weather-proof, and looks like it cost twice what it did. This is the substrate your high-end clients expect.
Why Sign Shops Spec ACM
- Dead flat — no warping, no bowing, no flex in the wind. Even at 4’x8′, ACM stays perfectly rigid.
- Looks premium — smooth aluminum surface with UV-printed graphics. No visible flutes, no corrugation lines. Clients notice the difference.
- Lasts for years — aluminum won’t rot, rust, or degrade. UV-stabilized inks hold color outdoors for 3–5+ years (longer with lamination).
- Routes clean — CNC cutting produces crisp edges on custom shapes, dimensional letters, and architectural panels.
3mm vs. 6mm — Which to Spec
3mm (~1/8″): Lighter weight. Best for post-and-panel signs, wall-mount, and A-frame inserts. Lower cost.
6mm (~1/4″): Heavier and more rigid. Best for large free-standing signs, high-wind locations, and architectural applications. Better for routing dimensional letters. Higher cost.
